Alchemic Dance Floor (Kimberley Jade and Nalini Bodhi) are extremely excited to bring you the first Ecstatic Dance Festival at the beautiful location Aongatete Lodge in Bay of Plenty!

Dance barefoot, connect, enjoy the fresh water swimming hole, lay around, have fun, have a picnic, dance, make friends, connect, enjoy a day out and BE YOU!

 

I think that it is fair to say that Ecstatic Dance has really taken off in New Zealand in the past 5 years. More and more people are realising the benefits of dancing in a wave that allows huge releases in the body, mind and spirit. Bringing in peace, acceptance and calmness.

 

We all know that dance is therapeutic and good for us. So is connection to others and gathering in a place where we can share, be our authentic selves and be a master of our own destinies.

 

This intimate festival (limited number of 100 people) is bringing us just that. DJ Kimba Jade loves to bring in all elements of herself to her events and is being called to not only run DJ Ecstatic Dance Facilitator Trainings, but to expand further.

 

"Ecstatic Dance is a Wave Dance. It starts slow & melodic, builds to an ecstatic peak and comes back down.

This is therapeutic for the body, releases blockages and allows you to go through a journey and process.

Abandon yourself to the rhythm and move freely as the music takes you, leading to trance and a feeling of ecstasy."

With DANCE, WORKSHOPS, LIVE MUSICIANS, DJS every day and night!

Ecstatic Dance is held to support a safe, healthy, clear-minded space (no alcohol or illegal drugs) - everyone is expected to move with awareness and care and respect.  No children under 12 years old are at the festival to ensure the 'no talking space during dance' can be held.

 

Accommodation: Shared dorm accommodation in beds are included in your ticket - onsite. There is NO CAMPING, however a limited number of vans are allowed so please specify by messaging Kimberley directly, that you would like to bring your van. Female dorm available upon request. It is important that everyone feels safe.

DJ Kimba Jade has been running Alchemic Dance Floor every 2 weeks in Orewa since August 2022 and has been DJing Ecstatic Dance for 7 years. She has run over 10 DJ Trainings in Auckland and 5 DJ Ecstatic Dance Facilitator Trainings at Aongatete, so she is excited to give her students the potential to DJ at the Festival.

 

This festival is to keep the authenticity of Ecstatic Dance alive and give a platform to up and coming Ecstatic Dance DJs, as well as established well known DJs.

 

Focusing on health, wellbeing, fun & connection and making an intimate bang for the start of the festival summer season!
